Have you received a card, and did you deserve it?
We had only a few responses this week. I guess coaches don’t like to share their embarrassing moments with the rest of the world.
“One card for swearing, and yes I deserved it, but the call did suck”

“I am proud to say I have never received a yellow or red card. Of course, my daughter is only 12, so I suppose we are just starting to get to the age where things get competitive, and my chances go up”

“I have got 2 yellows over the last 4 seasons, one of which was deserved. The other was a card happy ref, and a very emotional game. I take full responsibility for the other one, though.”

I have received 6 red and countless yellows in my football career all of which were deserved if you cant do the time dont do the crime as a referee now i can see both sides.
You Can Guess: 1) How old I am now 2) and my positions and status in the past and present through yellow and red cards;
– When I was 7-17 years old – I do not deserve receiving any yellow or
red card
– When I was 18-20 yrs old -I could not receive any card for whatever
misconduct I made in the pitch.
– When I was 21-23 yrs old I rarely received any card in local games but
I have not receive any in international.
– When I was 24-26 years old- I can only remember receiving few yellow
and 2 red cards
– When I turned 26 – I already issued cards, usually yellow and rarely red
– Starting 1987- Issuing lots of cards, yellow or red was just normal thing
for me
– Starting 1992- I continued to issue lots of cards locally but I could not
issue one internationally
– In 1995 I ceased to receive any cards.
– Starting 1998 up to 2001- I still issued lots of cards locally and only few
yellow cards internationally
– Since 1999 – up to now- I did not only receive or issue cards but also
record them.
– In 2003- I recorded few yellow cards once internationally
– Since 2005- I ceased to receive nor issue cards but only record them.
– Since then until now, I recorded lots of yellow and red and I
often received notice/s that player/s who received those
cards cannot play because of suspension, and it usually
bothered me a lot specially if those suspended are
key players.
IN INSTANCES OF RECEIVING CARDS, SOME I DESERVED SOME WERE NOT. IN ISSUING, I BELIEVE THEY WERE JUSTLY ISSUED. IN RECORDED CARDS, (DUE TO CROP OF REFEREES WE HAVE HERE IN OUR PLACE RIGHT NOW), SOME ARE FAIR BUT MOSTLY ARE UNFAIR.
Some were right, others were wrong. I have gotten 2 yellow cards and 2 reds so far.
